Support

Maintaining support is expensive and is often very specifically taregeted, for example your hardware may be covered in the event of a breakdown or a software package that you purchase may have some support built in to the price. These kinds of support arrangements are undoubtedly very beneficial.

However - since nobody knows what problems are going to arise (if we did know, they wouldn't be problems!), our experience tells us that what is also required is a much more generalised support contract which caters for the kinds of issues that occur daily. This is not always something going wrong, it may be that the need arises for a small amount of development, for example, a word-processing template or a spreadheet.

Our support schemes are designed to give you access to help with problem solving when that is required, but also to provide a broader support service to cater for those bits and pieces which simply 'crop up' from time to time.

How does it work?

Between us, we will agree a number of support hours per month and we will spend that agreed time onsite with you, doing whatever it is that you want us to do! There is flexibility built in so that the hours do not have to be taken all together and do not neccesarily need to be taken at the same time every month.

Examples of activities which the support hours could be used for are:

  • Setting up new email accounts
  • Configuring anti-virus settings
  • Setting up data backup and restore
  • Software installation and configuration
  • Designing Microsoft Word templates
  • Programming Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Sorting Network issues
  • Basic training

These support arrangements are individually tailored to your requirements and therefore the cost will depend on exactly what kind and level of support you require in terms of response times and number of hours, but it will cost less than you think!
